DIGBOI: Digboi-born Anirban Chakarborty has been offered to remain as designated scientist at the Research Laboratory of the University at Texas in the United States wherein he is pursuing his research invention on ‘Battery’. Sharing the remarkable success story of his son Anirban, the proud father Kamalesh Chakraborty, a senior advocate in Digboi said that Anirban’s invention may lead to new chapters of innovations on batteries of car, cell phone etc. in the days to come.

Underlining the educational journey of his scientist son, Kamalesh Chakraborty said that after completing his early schooling at DPS Digboi he had appeared for the joint entrance exam and was qualified for IIT. But subsequently he had to opt for NIT at Silchar due to matters related to choice of subjects at IIT. He studied Mechanical Engineering and secured more than 90% marks at NIT Silchar.

As NIT student, he along with three others invented a decoration of CF with O-CNPs by using Ultrsonically assisted DC-EPD, which was highly applauded and subsequently patented by the Government of India, Patent Office.

Moving on further, Anirban received admission offer in Chicago North Western University and at the same time also got selected for executive service on campus at Hindustan Petroleum and posted at Haldia Refinery. Since he did not get scholarship in Chicago, he had to join HPCL and he worked there for five months only. After getting full scholarship and free educational offer at South Dacoda State University in USA, he joined the same in 2017, tendering his resignation at HPCL.

“During his study for Master of Science (MS) in USA, he worked to improve invention of 3D Printed Bioreactor with optimized instumulations for EX-VIVO bone tissue culture and submitted his thesis on partial fulfilment in 2018,” said his father.

Meanwhile, on 29.5.23 and 2.06.2023 he appeared for defence as scheduled by his University where he was awarded Doctorate. “Immediately thereafter as many as three services were offered to Anirban. He has also been offered to remain at the same Research Laboratory of the University, Texas as a Designated Scientist to complete his present research invention on battery which he has almost winded up,” said the family members.
