DIGBOI: The Fraternity of Digboi Journalists Union felicitated doctors, nurses and the vaccination team of Digboi CHC here recently at the premises of the health Centre appreciating the yeomen services that the medical staff have been rendering relentlessly during the ongoing pandemic. The in-charge of the Community Health Centre Dr Niharika Bora and his team of doctors were accorded a token of appreciation in the form of phulam gamosa, bouquet of flowers and a letter of appreciation acknowledging the round the clock services that the CHC has been ensuring to serve the people of Digboi and its adjacent areas during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"We urge the people in general to participate in the vaccination drive, get themselves registered and vaccinated here at the centres," appealed Dr Niharika. She further said, "We are giving our cent per cent efforts to help the people getting rapid Antigen test and vaccinated at an optimal level."
Amidst sudden increase in caseloads of COVID-19 positive cases, the people should no longer be casual and need to maintain social distance to overcome the threat that the human existence is posing.
Dr Niharika also referred to an unfortunate commotion created by the people at the CHC recently during the vaccination process wherein the hospital staff were made to bear the wrath of the public silently without any faults. Binanda Konwar, the president, Laxman Sharma, the Vice President, Rina Kakoty Gogoi, the AGS, Rajesh Upadhaya, the general secretary of Digboi Journalists' Union along with other members of the union took part in the felicitation programme.
