Digboi MLA submits book on accounts, development of constituency to CM

DIGBOI: Digboi BJP MLA Suren Phukan submitted his report card, a book on accounts and development of a constituency which is mandatory for Assam MLAs to submit on a yearly mode to the Chief Minister of the State. Phukan handed over the written statement and developmental project related record of Digboi constituency to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Assam Staff College on Thursday afternoon.

"I also shared formally the copy of khatiyan to State Finance Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and State Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary," said MLA Suren Phukan.

Lauding the sincerity of Phukan in submitting the booklet regularly without fail for the past four years, Patowary said, "Suren Phukan has been a sincere MLA who has a wonderful hold upon the people of his constituency. His regular khatiyan bears the testimony of the pace of development he has been striving to bring in." "What I have done for my people and what has been accomplished in all these four years utilizing the resources of the State are reflected vividly here in my book along with various scheme-wise funds and accounts break-up," said Phukan.
