Digboi police arrested drug peddlers

TINSUKIA: Based on the information provided by VDP, Digboi police apprehended as many 7 drug peddlers from different areas of Digboi oil township namely Muliabari, Lachit Nagar, CMH Area, no 2 Borbil, Nabajyoti Gaon and Jyotinagar. The arrested persons were Hamidul Zaman (33), Anwar Ali (25), Basu Nayak (29), Satyajit Hazarika (33),Rana Saikia (26), Syed Sheikh and Nripen Saikia. Police recovered 11 grams of suspected heroin and a cash of Rs 42, 000 from their possession.
