Dima Hasao Adventure Association observes foundation day at Haflong

HAFLONG: The Dima Hasao Adventure Association (DHAA) observed its first foundation at Haflong on Sunday with great enthusiasm. To mark the day, mass jogging-cum-marathon was organized where 68 persons took part. A meeting was also held where NCHAC EM Nojit Kemprai graced the programme as chief guest along with Haflong Municipal Board chairman Monjit Naiding, body builder Pranab Langthasa and DSU GS Pramith Sengyung.

Speaking on the occassion, chief guest Kemprai greeted the association on its foundation day and appreciated their efforts in exploration of the hidden tourist places in the district, such as Sielkal or Tumjang Peak, Kapurcherra waterfall, Tularam Longkhor cave. He also said that he and his council team led by CEM Debolal Gorlosa would always extend help to the association to push forward the district in the tourism sector.

Later, a prize distribution ceremony was held where the guests present handed over a memento to the winner of the marathon. The programme concluded with a plantation program at Joya Thaosen Memorial Ppark.
