Dimasa Students’ Union felicitates HSLC and HS toppers

Haflong, June 6: To encourage and to honour the 10 toppers of Dima Hasao in HSLC and HSSLC, the Dimasa Students’ Union (DSA) organised a felicitation programme at the Cultural Institute Hall Haflong on Wednesday. In this connection, a well-attended meeting was also held with Sidut Naiding, president of DSU in the chair. Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa attended as the chief guest while Frezer Sengyung, general secretary, Jadikhe Naisho Hosom, and Thalendra Dibragede, adviser of DSU attended as the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion, CEM Gorlosa appealed to these students to maintain the tradition of securing good results and also to keep in mind to promote and preserve their mother tongue. He acknowledged that the people of Dima Hasao had to face challenges in the uplift of education in the district and appreciated all the students, teachers and guardians for producing good result. Sonowal also assured that his government would not leave any stone unturned for the betterment of education in the district.
