Distribution of scholarship cheques to meritorious students in Dudhnoi

DUDHNOI: On Thursday, 25 tribal students of Majakhili Council constituency no. 9 under Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council were given scholarship cheques from Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council for the financial year 2018-19.

On this occasion, scholarships were given to 15 higher secondary and 10 graduation level students at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Prabodh Kalita, Executive Member of Majakhili Council constituency no. 9 in Majakhili. Higher secondary students were paid Rs 3,500 and graduate students were paid Rs 4,000.

The meeting was attended by Dulal Mahanta, officer-in-charge, Dudhnoi Police Station, Asim Rabha, president, Goalpara District Rabha Students' Union, Anadi Rai Sarkar, and other dignitaries. For the financial year 2018-19, total 584 higher secondary students and 381 graduate students of the council area were given scholarships.
