District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting held in Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Jorhat Lok Sabha MP Topon Kumar Gogoi chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting held at the Syukafa Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Sivasagar on Saturday.

The meeting, which began with the welcome speech by Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Megha Nidhi Dahal, discussed in length about the status of various ongoing schemes in the district, such as, Panchayat & Rural development, Town & Country Planning, PHE, Education, health, social welfare, APDCL, NHIDCL, ASTC, BSNL, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Land Conservation, Forest (Social Forestry & Territorial), Handloom & Textile, Sericulture, Agriculture, Industry & Commerce, Irrigation, Water Resources, Food & Civil Supply.

Rajya Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tassa, Sivsagar MLA Akhil Gogoi, Amguri MLA Pradip Hazarika, Nazira MLA Debabrata Saikia, Sivasagar Zila Parishad President Dhruvjyoti Maut, Sivasagar Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ashwini Doley, District Development Commissioner (i/c) Karmadev Brahma , Additional Commissioners Bitupan Neog, Chandana Baruah, Subdivisional Officer of Nazira Sabyasachi Kashyap, Subdivisional Officer (Sadar) Dr. Mandira Baruah, Assistant Commissioner Deepawoli Kurmi and the HoDs of concerned government departments were present.

The Chairman stressed on proper and speedy implementation of all the ongoing schemes of the district for the overall development of the district.
