District-level activities of Aryabhatta Science Centre held at North Lakhimpur Govt HS School

LAKHIMPUR: The District Level Activities of Aryabhatta Science Centre, Lakhimpur was held on Thursday at North Lakhimpur Government HS School in a befitting manner. The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Inspectors of School, Dr Ramesh Chutia, District Nodal Officer Mithun Mukharjee, Principal of North Lakhimpur Government HS School Dipali Hazarika and many other dignitaries. District Co-Ordinator of Aryabhatta Science Centre, Lakhimpur Pradip Gogoi welcomed the dignitaries and the participants. He explained the aims and objectives of Aryabhatta Science Centre. The selected participants from all the blocks of the Lakhimpur district participated in the event.

In the model making competition, Sanjay Taid and Joydeep Das secured first prize, Hureen Baruah and Sakiya Sultana secured the second prize while Krishnanu Gogoi and Hironmoy Borrua secured the third prize. In the poster drawing competition, Maghmalla Duwara bagged the first prize, Dimple Dutta secured the second prize and Abhilash Saikia from Karunabari Block secured the third prize. In the extempore speech competition, Mukunda Saikia of Bihpuria Block, Ujashita Tamuli of Ghilamora Block and Progya Priyadarshini Bora of Narayanpur Block secured the first, second and third position respectively. All the prize winner participants were awarded certificates and trophies.
