LAKHIMPUR: The District Level RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Advisory Committee meeting was held on Thursday in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Lakhimpur. The meeting was held under the management of Bijit Borah, the Director of RSETI of Punjab National Bank and Convener of DLRAC. It was chaired by Sumit Sattawan, the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur.
In the meeting, the RSETI authority apprised the RSETI Advisory Committee members about the tasks it performed in the previous days. The Director briefed the important points of the minutes of last DLRAC meeting and steps taken thereof. From the chair, the Deputy Commissioner enquired about the credit linkage of the candidates trained under PMIGP scheme. He enquired about the beneficiaries sponsored by the Veterinary & Fishery Department under KCC scheme.
Ajit Sarmah, the Veterinary Officer of Lakhimpur, explained the status of applications along with the reasons for return viz. low CIBII score, wrong data feeding in the applications, unawareness about the scheme. Some bank branches such as the bank branches of AGVB and SBI Narayanpur rejected many proposals without citing valid reasons. The LDM explained that during the start of the implementation there was some confusion regarding eligibility criteria which were resolved afterwards. The applications are at present being forwarded after proper scrutiny, Assistant Manager of DIC&C. North Lakhimpur presented the status of PMFGP proposals.
From the chair, the Deputy Commissioner called upon the RSETI authority to work dedicatedly and devotionally by conducting extensive training programmes with its own venture to ensure rural employment. He urged the Advisory Committee members to keep close watch upon the activities performed by the RSETI.
