District-level Xojaag Voter Football competition held in Haflong

HAFLONG: In connection with the National Voters' Day celebration to be held on January 25, 2022 like every year, the District Election Officer, Dima Hasao, organized a football competition in collaboration with District Sport Association, Dima Hasao, under the banner of District-level Xojaag Voter Football Competition with the theme 'No Voter to be left Behind' in the district.

The football competition was organized to generate mass awareness among the prospective voters of the district. The District-level Football Competition was held on January 3 and January 4 at Heilung Newme Playground (Lodi) Haflong.

In the football competition, six teams participated to play at the district level. The winning team in the district level will now head for the zonal-level football competition to represent Dima Hasao which will be held on January 11 at Palastal Kachamari High School Playground in Nagaon.

In this Xojaag Voter Football Competition, there are four levels of football competition with exciting prizes which will be awarded in every level. In the State-level, the winning team will be awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and runners up will be awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs. 20,000 whereas, both in zonal and district-level, the winning team and runners up will be awarded with trophy and participation certificates.
