District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Borah prohibited movement between Darrang & Kamrup (M)

MANGALDAI: District Magistrate of Darrang, Dilip Kumar Borah vide an order issued on Wednesday afternoon, has prohibited all movement between Darrang and Kamrup (metro) with immediate effect. This order has been issued with a view to stop the community transmission of COVID-19 in the district as Kamrup (metro) has become a COVID hotspot. However, while talking to The Sentinel, District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Borah ruled out the possibility of the imposition of the district lockdown. Significantly, in the order, the District Magistrate has strictly warned the officials and employees of various departments of the district not to commute from Guwahati and asked them to stay in their headquarters.
