District Mines and Minerals office inaugurated at Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, Mines and Minerals, Jogen Mohan formally inaugurated the District Mines and Minerals office, Tinsukia at the premises of the District Industries and Commerce Centre (DICC), Tinsukia on Friday.

In his objective, Pranjal Kr Gogoi, senior Geologist based at Dibrugarh in the Directorate of Geology & Mining, Assam informed that the Tinsukia office is the third district administrative office out six offices planned in the State and till the Tinsukia office attained a permanent status with manpower, land and infrastructure, the incumbent of Dibrugarh office will hold dual charge.

The meeting was attended by Sanjoy Kishan, Minister for Labour and Tea Tribes Welfare Department, Pranjit Kumar Wary, Joint Secretary to the Mines and Mineral Department, Government of Assam, and senior officials of the department.
