MANGALDAI: Rupshikha Nath-a divyanga girl with a beautiful smile on her face despite all the odds, has come out with flying colours in the HS (Arts) exam, 2019, securing 73.6 per cent from Brilliant Academy, Mangaldai, which also produced this year’s HS Arts topper Khusboo Firdous.
Differently-abled since her birth, Rupshikha, with inspiration and support from her working parents and elder sister Parismita Nath, scored 91 in Philosophy and Logic, 51 in English, 86 in Assamese, 71 in Political Science and 67 in Education with total marks of 368, that too without any private tuition. Significantly, bed-ridden Rupshikha appeared in the examination hall on her bed and proved that with a positive, strong and cheerful mind, everyone could achieve his desired goal. Her father Kamaleswar Nath and mother Hemanti Nath, both serving in Assam Police and residents of Jyoti Nagar of Mangaldai town, have been taking every possible care and initiative to help Rupshikha. With the aim to join the Administrative Service in future, Rupshikha will take admission in the degree course in Mangaldai College.
Various organizations, namely Mangaldai Media Circle, Chapai unit of Axam Xahitya Xabha and Crystal Vision have congratulated Rupshikha on her achievement.
