KOKRAJHAR:  The department of Health Services, BTC on Friday launched 20 mobile medical units in collaboration with Hans Foundation to improve the health care sector in the region. The CEM of BTC Pramod Boro formally launched the medical mobile unit in the presence of EM of Health Arup Kr. Dey, EMs Reo Reoa Narzihary, Dhananjay Basumatary, Dr. Nilut Swargiary, Ghanashyam Das, MCLA Rajib Brahma and officials of health department. The department also distributed cheques of Rs. 5,000 to the beneficiaries under Rog Nirmul Achoni.

In his address, the CEM of BTC Pramod Boro said the government of BTC has been working to improve the health care facilities in BTC. The council has distributed ambulances and dead body carriers in different health centres of BTC to provide services to needy people of the region, he said, adding that the health centres of the BTC area were being upgraded and dialysis units will be set up in hospitals. He also said the council was trying to give best of the best services to the people by improving the existing health centres.

Boro said the BTC government under Rog Nirmul Achoni has started the distribution of 1st phase cheque to the beneficiaries who have chronic diseases which will be continuing for the needy people.

Replying to queries on the relation of UPPL and BJP, he said the relationship was going strong in the right track. He said he will not be bothered by the media reports or individual comments on the relationship between UPPL and BJP. He said, “Our determination is to double the speed of development in BTR.” On the igniting comments on the eviction drive, Boro said the High Court had time and again issued some directives for eviction in illegal encroachment areas. He said in BTC those who are bonafide citizens have nothing to worry about the eviction. He also said 42,000 landless people in the council have been given land certificates under FRA and initiative would be taken for the remaining landless people.
