Dr. Bhupen Hazarika’s Death Anniversary to be organized in Demow Public Hall

DEMOW: Under the patronage of Demow Press Club, the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika will be organized in Demow Jyoti Bishnu Building (Demow Public Hall) on November 5 and regarding this, preparation is going on in full swing.

An executive meeting was organized in Demow Press Club on Tuesday. Prasanta Gogoi, vice-president of Demow Press Club, presided over the meeting and Ajay Kumar Gogoi, secretary of Demow Press Club spoke the aims of the meeting. In the executive meeting, important issues along with organizing the Sudhakanta Divas were discussed.

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika, drawing and essay competitions will be organized in two categories among the students of the local schools of Demow. A documentary prepared by Demow Press Club will be screened, songs and dances on the songs of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika will be performed. Umesh Chetia, local correspondent who received the Best Journalist Award in the Achiever Award function by the Sadin-Pratidin Group recently, will be felicitated by Demow Press Club in the programme.
