Dr Liladhar's demise a great loss to Bodo society: Bodo Sahitya Sabha

UDALGURI: "The demise of cultural doyen Dr Liladhar Brahma is an irreparable loss to the Bodo society. Dr. Liladhar Brahma was the President of All Bathou Mahasabha and he had made tremendous contributions towards the preservation and development of Bodo culture," the Udalguri district Bodo Sahitya Sabha said in a statement.

Manik Basumatari, the president and Pitor Gwra Khungra Daimari, the general secretary of Udalguri district Bodo Sahitya Sabha have deeply condoled the death of Dr. Liladhar Brahma. Brahma was awarded the Mangal Chandi Brahma literary award for his book 'Bodo Mochanay' in 2018. Moreover he was the editor for various mouthpieces and also contributed a lot of articles on culture. He has left behind his wife Konika Brahma. He was 68 years old.
