Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya Appointed as New DC of Sivasagar

SIVASAGAR: Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sivasagar on Thursday. A 2014 batch IAS, she was previously serving as the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh. Dr. Lakshmi Priya has been appointed as Sivasagar DC in place of Dr. Lakshmanan S, who has been transferred as Mission Director, National Health Mission. Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Dr. Lakshmanan extended a hearty welcome to her and handed over the charge at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner on Thursday. In a meeting held on the occasion at Sukafa Conference Hall, District Development Commissioner Nawab Al-Azhar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioners Junumoni Sonowal, Bidit Das, Dilip Terang and Moon Gogoi, Assistant Commissioners and other officers and employees of Deputy Commissioner’s office were also present. After joining as the new deputy commissioner of Sivasagar, Dr. Lakshmi Priya said, “I will do my best to solve the issues of concern and carry forward the district towards development.” She called upon all to extend their support and cooperation in making Sivasagar a model district in all respect.
