GAURISAGAR: With a view to combat community spread of coronavirus, strict measures have to be implemented to stop the further spread of the disease. Keeping this mind, the administration of Nazira subdivision, under the supervision of SDO (C) Lakhimi Dutta with a team of magistrates and police officials, undertook an enforcement drive in Nazira town, Galeky and Simaluguri.
The core team included the Border Magistrate of Nazira subdivision, Rajiv Sonowal, Assistant Commissioners-cum- Executive Magistrates Pritom Gogoi, Ruby Kumari Ray and Tonmoy Chetia along with the Circle Officer (A) Anurag Gogoi and Officer in-charge of Nazira Police station, Tridip Kumar Dutta. The team visited and inspected various shops, hotels, salons and created awareness among the general public to strictly follow the COVID protocol as laid down by the government.
SDO (C) Lakhimi Dutta said, "The enforcement drives are the need of the hour considering the increase in COVID-19 cases. To stop the community spread of the deadly virus, we have to strictly follow the COVID protocol. In this regard, the common people have to support us by obeying the protocol so that we can together fight against this deadly virus."
She laid emphasis on changing the behavioural pattern of the general masses who were reluctant to wear masks. Emphasis was also laid on maintaining social distance, use of hand sanitizers along with the regular COVID tests.
