Drug peddler of Dalgaon in Darrang district injured in police firing

BISWANATH CHARIALI: One Fakir Ali of Dalgaon in Darrang district was injured when police fired at him on Friday night. The peddler who was arrested on Friday by police with banned drugs here, was reportedly taking a police team to show more consignment. When he tried to flee on the way, police had to open fire to stop him leading to his injury at one of the legs. He was rushed to Tezpur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
