Drugs burnt at Barpeta in presence of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police

BARPETA: A great number of narcotic drugs, ganja which were seized during the last one year by police were destructed formally here at police reserve at Baradi, Barpeta on Monday in presence of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police .As per the information, Rs 6,52,28500 amount of drugs and ganja were destructed. Today 587.94 gms brown sugar, 63 gms Ganja, 531 bottles of cough syrup, 75635 narcotic capsules and 24,292 narcotic tablets were destructed. Along with Deputy commissioner Ayush Garg, Superintendent of Police Amitabh Sinha, Nilakshi Bhattacharjya, judicial magistrate and additional SP Pradip Saikia were also present.
