DIBRUGARH: The two accused in the Duliajan abduction case, Mohammad Abdul Jalil and Abu Zafor, were produced before the CJM Court in Dibrugarh on Friday.

The court accepted the prayer to add the sections 120-B/376 IPC & R/w Sec 4 of POCSO Act along with the earlier section of 366 IPC with the Duliajan PS case No. 1/2023. The case was then forwarded to the court of the Special Judge. The court of the Special Judge forwarded both the accused to judicial custody.

Meanwhile, the court has allowed the police for two days interrogation in judicial custody. The minor girl, who was kidnaped on December 31, was rescued from a sar area in the Bongaigaon district on January 4.
