TANGLA: United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) election observer Manmohan Boro assured that each clause of the third Bodo Accord would be implemented in a time-bound manner and exuded confidence that UPPL would form the next government in the council. Boro, while hailing the decision of the Assam government for initiating the process of setting up a separate Directorate for Bodo medium schools in the State, opined that it was done as per Clause 6 of the last Bodo Accord.

Addressing a press meet at Tangla town in Udalguri district on Thursday, Boro claimed that Prithviraj Narayan Mech, who was released from UPPL owing to anti-party activities and non-compliance of party discipline, had made baseless allegations against the party in the media. Boro also cautioned former Executive Member of BTC, Jagadish Sarkar and warned him not to make defamatory statements against UPPL party and its leaders.

UPPL spokesperson Kamal Chowdhury launched a scatting attack on Jagadish Sarkar and said that despite being an Executive Member in BTC, besides holding the post of member in Land Advisory Board, many non-Bodo people had to face problems in registration of land.
