Educationist Birinchidhar Buragohain passes away in Morigaon

MORIGAON: Former Sanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of Assam chapter, noted educationist and literature Birinchidhar Buragohain passed away due to age old ailment (87) at his residence on Wednesday night. He retired as a lecturer from Morigaon college in 1995. He was also associated with various organizations. He was the president of the reception committee of Axom Xahitya Xabha held in 1960 in Morigaon.

Birinchidhar Buragohain was also a talented musician. He was a skilled violinist. As a Swayamsevak of RSS, he served whole heartedly all religions equally in the society. He was the president of Morigaon Viswa Hindu Parishad in 1984-85. As writer he dedicated eight books also to the society. He was the founder of Morigaon Sankar-Madhab High School. Birinchidhar Buragohain was born in 1936. After completing his degree from Cotton College in 1959 he received the master degree in philosophy from Guwahati University in 1969. His death has cast a pall of gloom in the district. He left behind his wife, two sons and two daughters and a host of relatives.
