MORIGAON: The Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Morigaon in collaboration with Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), Morigaon Revenue Circle, Morigaon UNICEF, NDRF organized a three-day Morigaon Revenue Circle Level Emergency Management Exercise in the Morigaon district from March 27 to March 29.
Total 200 participants from different line departments, NGOs, Aapda Mitra Volunteers, Police Personnel, SDRF personnel participated in the training programme. The training programme was inaugurated by Garga Mohan Das, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, District Disaster Management Authority, Morigaon. Devasish Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, also visited the training site and supervised the training activities.
On the second day, Table Top Exercise was organized at Tarun Ram Phukan Field, Morigaon. On the third day, a Flood Mock Drill was conducted at Charan Beel in coordination with 1st Bn NDRF, SDRF, Morigaon, AAPDA MITRA volunteers, Health Department and local people. A relief camp was set up at Kanaklata LP School. The Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, DDMA, Morigaon visited the relief camp.
The valedictory session was organized at Tarun Ram Phukan Field where all participants and resource persons were present. Certificates were distributed to the participants by Additional Deputy Commissioner & CEO, DDMA, Morigaon.
