TANGLA: Ahead of the forthcoming bye-elections to the five Assembly constituencies of the State, the political seat-sharing equation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) does not seem to be going down well with the grassroots workers and supporters of the party in the Bodo belt.
BJP leader and former MLA, Emmanuel Mosahary has filed his nomination papers for the bye-polls to the Tamulpur Assembly constituency as an independent candidate. Mosahary filed his nomination papers before the Returning Officer (RO) in Tamulpur of Baksa district on Thursday. He was accompanied by a large number of supporters.
"I filed my nomination today for the bye-election to the 58Tamulpur LAC. I thank all my supporters and well-wishers who could come forward openly and special thanks to those who are working behind the scenes," said Emmanuel Mosahary after filing his nomination papers. "If the party takes any disciplinary action, I have nothing much to comment," he said.
