Employee Of Assam Secretariat Commits Suicide, Blames Senior Official In His Suicide Note

Guwahati: On Monday, an employee of the Assam Secretariat had reportedly committed suicide at his residence in Guwahati. The deceased, Vivek Das, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Assam Secretariat Residence, Housefed complex C-Block No.202 flat in the Beltola area of Guwahati.

Vivek Das was working in the General Administration Department of the Assam Secretariat as a Senior Administrative Assistant. 

His body was found hanging by the Assam police on Monday.

A suicide note was also recovered by the police from the site of the incident. 

In his suicide note, Das alleged that even after working hard with great dedication, he was held responsible for making some major mistakes in his work. He added that the senior had blamed him for the mistakes that he had committed himself. This reason drove Vivek Das to take the drastic step.

After such revelations, a proper investigation has been demanded by the family members of the deceased.

In another shocking incident that took place earlier this month, a man in the Satgaon area of Guwahati had committed suicide after slashing the throat of his wife and his six-year-old son. 

The wife, who was found unconscious with cut marks on her neck, was immediately taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the body of the man and his six-year-old son was taken for post-mortem.
