Endometriosis Awareness Programme organized at DHSK College

DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, in collaboration with ICMR-NIRRH (Mumbai) and Health and Hygiene Committee, DHSK College, organized Endometriosis Awareness Programme at the DHSK College here on Thursday.

Endometriosis Awareness takes place across the globe during the month of March with a mission to bring awareness of the disease to the people.

Following the welcome address from Dr Reeta Nath, Assistant General Secretary of Dibrugarh Obstetric and Gynaecological Society, Dr Pranay Phukan, renowned gynaecologist of the city and the incumbent president of the society, commenced the programme by familiarizing the audiences with what endometriosis is all about. Dr Nath and Dr Phukan, participating the programme as resource persons, in a simple and easily comprehensible manner discussed and explained in details with powerpoint presentations about different aspects of endometriosis.

The packed hall, with participants from students of nearby MDK Girls College and host of faculty members and students from DHSK College, was graced by Dr BL Pathak as guest of honour and Dr Ramesh Sonowal as inaugurator of the programme. The programme was also graced by Dr Ananta Dutta, Academic Coordinator, Dr Mridul Sarma, Coordinator, IQAC and Dr PD Goswami, Vice-Principal of DHSK College.
