BISWANATH CHARIALI: I-MSME Development and Facilitation Office under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India organized a daylong Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme on Friday at Biswanath College, Biswanath Chariali in association with Department of Industry and Commerce, Biswanath and IQAC of Biswanath College. College Principal Dr C Sharma delivered the welcome address.

Raj Mohanani, Deputy Director, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India was present as a resource person in the first technical session and he commented on various government initiatives. In the second technical section, Riku Dutta, Deputy Director, District Centre for Industry and Commerce, Government of Assam highlighted the economic initiatives of the State government towards entrepreneurship. Successful entrepreneur Amrit Rajkonwar, as the third resource person delivered a thoughtful speech towards start-ups.

The meeting was attended by hundreds of students and teachers of the college including Dr N Thakur, HoD, Department of English and Coordinator of Internal Quality Assessment Cell, Assistant Coordinator Dr D Sharma and others.
