Ever Green Club of Dhubri town felicitates coronavirus warriors

DHUBRI: Ever Green Club, a leading socio-cultural and sports club of Dhubri town, felicitated the corona warriors in the Church Road Club premises in ward no 9 by maintaining social distancing and wearing masks on Saturday.

To encourage and express gratitude to corona warriors, the club invited selected doctors, nurses, police officials, cleaners (safai karmacharis), some ardent social workers and media persons and felicitated them in a befitting manner.

While speaking on the occasion, secretary of the club and former ward commissioner, Uttar Prasad lauded the services being rendered by corona warriors like doctors and nurses who were treating patients in hospitals while police were enforcing total lockdown. “Apart from them, safai karmacharis too are busy in the cleaning the town, sanitizing and lifting the garbage. Last but not the least, media persons too are playing a positive role highlighting problems and creating awareness among the common people about importance and necessity to stay safe at home, maintain social distancing and wearing masks,” Prasad added. All the corona warriors were felicitated with phulam gamosa, citation and a packet of sweets.
