GORESWAR: A mass workers’ meeting was organized by Goreswar and Barghuli Mandal BJP committee at Goreswar on Friday in Tamulpur district. The mass workers’ meeting was anchored by Mahendra Borah, president of Goreswar Mandal BJP committee.

The State BJP president, Bhabesh Kalita delivered the welcome address with various government schemes of the BJP-led government and asked the gathering to vote in favour of the BJP in the forthcoming general election.

Cabinet Minister Ashok Singhal attended the mass worker meeting as the chief guest and spoke widely on Oronodoi scheme, ration card, old age pension etc. He also asked the youths of the state to work for 14 hours a day to capture the markets and agricultural fields for the development of the state.

The Cabinet Minister also spoke that Goreswar would become a developed town in near future as it had been constituted as a new assembly constituency.

MLA of Lakhimpur constituency Manab Deka, also attended the programme and delivered his lecture on developmental works of the government.

National BJP leader as well as MP of Mangaldoi constituency, Dilip Saikia attended the mass worker meeting held at Goreswar.

The MP, in his speech said that the administrative approval had been recieved for two-lane road with an over bridge at Goreswar railway crossing from Baihata Chariali to Maharipara. Tamulpur Medical College will be opened in near future. Every family will get ration card. “We have been returning the capital with the interest which was given to us in the last general election. People of this constituency must vote for BJP in the 2024 general election,” he added.
