Excise raid conducted, three persons apprehended by Digboi Excise Circle

TINSUKIA: An Excise Case No DIG/EX/2022/730 dated 23/09/2022 under sections 53(1)(a) and 54 of Assam Excise Act 2000 (as amended) was registered at Digboi Excise Circle after three persons were apprehended by Digboi Excise Circle with the help of Bordumsa Police Station on Thursday. The three accused namely Arun Moran (34) of Bokapother village, Labonu Sonowal (22), and Porag Hazarika (24), both from No2 Hollong village, Nagaon were sent to judicial custody. The Excise department seized Beer 24 cases (288 BL) and IMFL 3 cases (25.52 BL) all earmarked for sale in Arunachal Pradesh and one vehicle bearing Registration number AR-13-6482 in the exercise.
