Executive meeting of Tinsukia District Journalists' Association held

TINSUKIA: An extended executive meeting of Tinsukia District Journalists' Association (TDJA) was held at the auditorium of Margherita Development Block on Wednesday.

Held under the aegis of Margherita Journalists' Association with Anuj Kalika, president of TDJA, in the chair, the meeting resolved several decisions, notably among these were foundation laying of TDJA building at Borguri Tinsukia on November 30- the 47th Foundation Day of TDJA, holding of National Press Day at Margherita under the aegis of Margherita Journalists' Association in association with Margherita sub-divisional administration and a friendly football match between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh to be held with the initiative of Jagun Press Club.

Earlier, Rana Jyoti Neog, general secretary of TDJA, laid the objective of the meeting. Members of all affiliated press clubs and association, namely Tinsukia, Margherita, Digboi, Saikhowa, Doomdooma, Jagun, Kakopathar, Sadiya were present along with former presidents and vice presidents.
