Veteran Assamese Actor Nipon Goswami was hospitalized following his illness. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nemcare Hospital located in the city.

The 80-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital on Monday following his deteriorated health condition. Although his conditions were stable, some people started sharing posts mentioning his passing away in the morning.

An official with the Nemcare Hospital responded to these stories and informed The Sentinel that he is safe and undergoing treatment in the cardiac intensive care unit of the hospital.
