Farewell to senior employee of North Lakhimpur Sankardev Shishu Niketan

LAKHIMPUR: Basantalata Bishweshwar Chankakati Sowarani Sankardev Shishu-Bidya Niketan bid farewell to its one of the senior employees, Munin Deka on Wednesday. Deka had been rendering his dedicated and devoted service to the educational institution till day since it was established.

On this occasion, a farewell programme was organized at the Niketan premises under the management of Pradhan Acharya Ghana Nath. The programme began with the lighting of ceremonial lamps by retired District Elementary Education Officer Jaban Chandra Dutta. Niketan Management Committee secretary Atul Bhuyan explained the objective of the programme which was chaired by president Rajesh Malpani. In the programme, Pradhan Acharya (Junior Section) Rekhamoni Baruah, DEEO Jiban Chandra Dutta, Pradhan Acharya Ghana Nath, Debo Bonia, Tandedhar Dutta, Matri Bharati president Anjana Dutta along with a host of students delivered speech appreciating the contribution of Munin Deka to the Niketan. The academic staff, administrative staff, Niketan Management Committee, students of the Niketan, Matri Bharati accorded Munin Deka warm felicitation with a citation, sarai, chelengsadar, Kirtan Ghosa and with various mementos. The school gifted Munin Deka with a cheque of Rs. 30,000 as ex-gratia while Praktan Chatra Bharati honoured him with a cheque of Rs. 6,800.
