BISWANATH CHARIALI: Following the order of the Government of India, a drone was flown in the sky for the first time at Biswanath Chariali on Thursday. Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Government of India, located here, concluded a three-day long demonstration and testing programme regarding the use of drones in terms of safety of seeds, plants etc. in the agricultural fields which had started on April 19.

Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath district, Munindra Nath Ngatey, Dean of Biswanath Agriculture College, Dr RN Barman, Principal Investigator Dr Pallav Sharma, Agriculturist Nikhilesh Baruah, District Agriculture Officer Deepak Barhoi, other officials and local farmers also participated in the programme.
