Assam: Fatal Collision With Dumper Truck Leaves One Dead, Eight Severely Injured

GUWAHATI: In the Amingaon area of North Guwahati, Assam, a devastating incident unfolded as a dumper truck collided head-on with a minivan, leading to one fatality and leaving eight individuals severely injured. The tragic accident occurred when the dumper truck, en route to Hajo, crashed into the minivan traveling towards Guwahati City. Shockingly, the dumper truck driver chose to flee the scene after the collision.

The deceased victim has been identified as Rajeev Talukdar. Among the injured individuals, four have been identified as Robin Das, Habil Ali, Mannal Ali, and Dhiren Das. Promptly responding to the distress call, a police team arrived at the accident site to investigate the incident and ensure the safety of the victims.

Following the collision, two of the severely injured individuals were immediately transported to Tola Ram Bafna Civil Hospital, while two others were admitted to Narayana Hospital, both located in close proximity. These medical facilities would provide the necessary treatment and care for the injured victims. The remaining individuals with severe injuries were rushed to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for urgent medical attention.

In the wake of the hit-and-run accident, the police swiftly initiated a search operation to locate the dumper truck responsible for the collision.
