Father-Daughter duo from Sarupathar sets record in India Book of Records

SARUPATHAR: Ajay Dey and his daughter Ritika Dey, residents of Sarupathar, Khanikar gaon in Dhansiri subdivision under Golaghat district, set a new record in the India Book of Records by drawing various pencil sketches and oil paintings. Ajay Dey is a drawing teacher at Bolosing Memorial School in Sarupathar and his daughter Ritika Dey is a student of Class VI in the same school.

Ajay Dey has drawn many portraits of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Bhagat Singh and he set a new record by drawing those paintings in only 17 minutes. His daughter Ritika Dey has drawn many paintings of Mahatma Gandhi, Bhupen Hazarika and cartoon characters. Both entered the India Book of Records in 2021.
