Financial assistance of Rs 10,000 given to Durga Puja committees in Dhubri

DHUBRI: As declared by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma that a financial assistance of Rs 10,000 would be given to the Durga Puja organising committees, Dhubri district unit of BJP distributed the financial assistance among 101 puja organising committees under Dhubri Legislative Constituency here at Dhubri Lions Club auditorium at a function organized under the auspices of Dhubri district unit of BJP on the day of Saptami.

The cheque of Rs.10,000 was formally handed over to each of president or secretary of the community puja organiser by Director (Independent) of Neepco, Bimal Oswal, president of Dhubri District BJP, Prosenjit Dutta and Chairman of Dhubri-Gauripur Development Authority, Dipak Kumar Saha. Many puja organisers expressed their gratitude for the financial assistance as this amount of money would be of great help in celebrating the Durga Puja smoothly.
