Financial assistance provided to fire victim under Sootea LAC

JAMUGURIHAT: A team of the civil administration of the Sonitpur district comprising of Block Development Officer, Sootea, Palak Kumar Sarma-cum-additional Executive Officer of Sonitpur Zila Parishad along with other panchayat representatives, visited the house of a fire victim and handed over a cheque to Jiten Mili, a resident of Miri village of Bordikorai under Sootea LAC on Tuesday.

The house of Jiten Mili was damaged due to devastating fire on January 1. The additional Executive Officer of Sonitpur Zila Parishad interacted with the family members and handed over the cheque as per the directives of Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika. The event was attended by Bipul Bora, the Block Development Officer of Naduar Development Block, Ajit Payeng, president of Naduar Anchalik Panchayat, besides other dignitaries.
