Financial Literacy Programme By AGVB And NABARD

Numaligarh: Labonghat branch of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), in collaboration with NABARD, organized a financial literacy programme at the Labonghat branch premises on Wednesday.

On the occasion, an open meeting was held which was presided over by Doibya Bori, Branch Manager of Labonghat (AGVB). Addressing the people, Sushanta Chakraborty, District Development Officer of NABARD, and Hussain Ali, Senior Manager of Doigrung Branch (AGVB), said that people should have an insurance policy for the benefit of their family. They elaborated about the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Amrit Yojana.

During the programme, the bank also provided KCC loans to beneficiaries and loan to an active self-help group of the area. Two beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana also received money from the scheme in the programme.
