FIR lodged against 36 beneficiaries of PMAY in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Executive Officer of Tinsukia Municipal Board lodged an FIR at Tinsukia Sadar police station against 36 beneficiaries of Prime Minister AwasYojona (PMAY) who received grants from TMB but did not construct the house. The FIR stated that as 1st instalment some beneficiaries received Rs fifty thousand while others received Rs one lakh ten thousand. Out of 36 beneficiaries, 21 belonged to different wards under TMB and rest 15 hailed from areas under Tinsukia Development Authority (TDA). These beneficiaries were served notices several times but did not comply.
