FIR lodged against Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Bhupen Borah

PATHSALA: The BJP workers in Bajali lodged an FIR against Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Borah at Pathsala for his controversial comments on Mahabharata and the term ‘love jihad’, where he stated that the main character in the Mahabharata, Gandhari was also not allowed to get married to Dhritarashtra, “There was love jihad in the Mahabharata also.”

Later, Borah also apologised for his comments on Lord Krishna after he realized that those comments were a mistake and it had hurt the people. Following his comment, BJP workers of Bajali lodged an FIR against the Congress leader Bhupen Borah at Pathsala Police Station and demanded immediate action against him.

BARPETA: At Barpeta also an FIR was lodged at Barpeta Sadar Police Station against Asom Pradesh Congress Committee president Bhupen Borah. On Thursday APCC president Bhupen Borah compared “Love Jihad” to Lord Krishna and the great epic Mahabharata. On Friday, Barpeta district Yuva Marcha along with BJP Yuva Marcha all over Assam lodged FIR in their respective police stations against Bhupen Borah, stated Dulal Das, president of BJP Yuva Marcha, Barpeta district.
