LAKHIMPUR: Fireflies Foundation, a non-governmental organization of a host of energetic youths of Lakhimpur district, conducted a clothes distribution programme at Narayanpur on Tuesday.
The programme was conducted at Tintiya village under Narayanpur Revenue Circle where consecutive waves of flood paralyzed normal life of the people, ravaging their properties this year. By initiating the programme, the members of the NGO, led by president Parishmita Gogoi and secretary Dulu Saikia, distributed wearable clothes among almost 400 flood-affected people of the area. A number of local youths along with social activist-cum-gaon burah Bidya Saikia extended co-operation towards the successful conduction of the programme.
