According to an official bulletin issued on Monday, the first wave of flooding has affected about 32,000 people in two districts of Assam.

According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority's (ASDMA) daily flood report, 31,970 inhabitants were affected in the Biswanath and Lakhimpur districts. According to the report, Lakhimpur is the worst-affected district, with 31,959 persons stranded in floodwaters.

According to the Central Water Commission, no river in Assam is currently flowing beyond the danger level.

Flood waters have destroyed embankments, roads, and other infrastructure in the Baksa and Biswanath districts, according to the report.

Massive erosions have also occurred in Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Goalpara, Kamrup, Morigaon, and Nalbari. "Urban flooding" was seen in the Kamrup Metropolitan, Kamrup, and Nalbari districts, according to the advisory.
