GOLAGHAT: Personnel of the Golaghat police and 142 Bn. CRPF conducted a flag march in Golaghat town on Sunday as worsening of the COVID-19 situation in the district.
In view to create awareness among the public, the district administration conducted the flag march in the Golaghat town area which was started from the Golaghat police station. The Superintendent of Police, Golaghat Dr Robin Kumar said that due to a lack of awareness among people, infection of COVID-19 has been increasing in the Golaghat district. The police would have to enforce all relevant laws strictly in order to control COVID situation. There will be a flag march in Saupathar and Dergaon also.
The Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat Mrigesh Narayan Barua said that all required measures have been taken to stop the spread of COVID-19. Law has strictly been enforced in all parts in the district to stop the spread of the virus.
Golaghat district is in under total containment since July 7. As many as 1917 COVID patients are under treatment at different COVID Care Centres whereas 133 persons died in COVID-19. In the flag march programme, 142 Bn CRPF officials S. K. Shukla, Bharat Kumar Vaishnav, Jugal Kumar Sharma, Dharmabir Kumar, T. Balaji were took part.
