Flood hits Konwerpur Mouza due to incessant rains in Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR: Due to incessant rains, the water level of the Dikhow river has been rising since Sunday evening.

The overflowing water has inundated 10 revenue villages under Konwerpur Mouza in Sivasagar revenue circle. The overflowing water submerged the busy Texi Ali and direct communication has been disrupted with Sivasagar district. Besides, the overflowing water of River Dikhow has submerged Konwerpur HS School, Konwerpur Boys MV School, No 65 Nakatani LP School, Santipur High School and Mahgiria LP School.

The flood-affected people have taken shelter on the Dikhow embankment and in Harmotigarh Moidam LP School.
