Flood relief team from Maligaon visits camp of Bishmuri VCDC in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: A flood relief team from Maligaon along with a team of doctors visited the flood relief camp of the Bishmuri VCDC in Kokrajhar district on Monday. The team, including community health officials, examined the health of adults including minor children. It is worth mentioning that medicines for various diseases, that can occur during floods, were distributed among the people.

Sources from DIPRO, Kokrajhar said due to the heavy flooding of Tulsijhora river, villagers of Gwjwnpuri under east Maligaon under Mohanpur VCDC were shifted to the relief camp arranged at the office of Bishmuri VCDC. A total of 113 persons are currently taking shelter at Bishmuri VCDC office and the district administration has provided 1.224 qtl of rice, 0.226 qtl of dal. 6.78 litres of mustard oil, 6.78 kg of salt, candles, mosquito coil etc as gratuitous relief.
