Fly shuttles, yarns, blankets ceremonially distributed in Chirang

BONGAIGAON/ KOKRAJHAR: The Executive Member (EM) of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) for Handloom and Textile department, Dhananjay Basumatary on Thursday ceremonially distributed fly shuttle sley, gray cotton hank yarn and blankets to some selected beneficiaries of the district at a function held at the premises of office of the Assistant Director of Handloom and Textile, Chirang, Kajalgaon.

On the occasion, the EM had distributed fly shuttle sley with accessories to 249 beneficiaries under economic uplift scheme, 2/40 bundle gray cotton hank yarns to 1,951 beneficiaries under self-employment scheme and blankets to 801 selected beneficiaries under scheme for handloom weavers of BPL family of forest villages under the State Owned Priority Development (SOPD) of BTC for the year 2020-21.

The programme was conducted by Dwijendra Kochari, Assistant Director of Handloom and Textile, Chirang and was attended by all the members of Sub- Divisional Level Beneficiary Selection Committee.
