A CORRESPONDENT
LAKHIMPUR: Indo -Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), a national social development organization, with support from Secours Catholique, Cartias France, distributed dry ration and hygiene kits among 315 families severely impacted and affected by COVID-19 living in 19 villages under Boginadi, Lakhimpur and Telahi Development Blocks of Lakhimpur District. The relief packets comprised of 18 essential items like salt, turmeric powder, masoor dal, chickpea, soyabean, rice, mustard oil, chilli powder, biscuits, flattened rice, moong dal, sugar, green pea, black dal, bathing soap, detergent powder, sanitizer, and sanitary pad. Each packet is worth Rs 2,000.
The NGO will distribute dry ration and hygiene kits among 215 families of Gogamukh Revenue Circle and distribute Oximeter and Thermal Scanner to around 50 ASHA and Anganwadi workers, cash for work to 40 families and conditional cash grant to 50 families in the upcoming days under the COVID-19 Mitigation Adversity Plan- 2021. The distribution programme commenced from July 25 and is underway at present.
